As we go about our business, we meet many people who are working extremely hard in their businesses. But business success is not about working harder – it’s about working smarter.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a place for hard work. To achieve many of the goals that we are advocating, initial ground work and investment in hard work at the beginning is necessary.
Nevertheless, too many people are doing the same things day after day, working long hours, experiencing stress and not achieving different results. Others, who have stepped back, thought more laterally about where they are going and what they are doing have found better and different ways to achieve staggering results.
How many people do you know who seem to work extremely hard with their businesses, yet still find they can’t make that breakthrough. The problem is, they haven’t grasped business success is not about perspiration. It’s about inspiration, vision and direction. It’s about stepping off the roundabout that is the current rat race, yet so many people work long hours for what in reality is low reward. It’s about finding new ways of doing things and looking at the business from an entirely different perspective. Once you are able to do this, many things become clearer.
