Painting

All surfaces were prepared with 220 grade glass paper and cleaned to remove any traces of dust prior to the grey undercoat being applied. The slots are identified with different colour enamel paint which is applied where the braid will be affixed and down the sides of the slot. Finally the track surface painted with gloss black paint using a foam gloss paint roller. The surface is generally smooth but some sections particularly the corners dried with a slight bubbly texture.
