Scrivener Notaries

Partners:

 

Bill Kennair qualified as a Scrivener Notary in 1983, and has an LL.B (Hons.) from University College London. He speaks German, French and Spanish. He is Notarial Deputy of the Scriveners’ Company, and Chairman of the Society of Scrivener Notaries. He acts as one of their representatives to the UINL, where he is a member of the Commission of European Union Affairs, the Commission of European and Mediterranean Affairs and is Vice-President of the Informatics and Judicial Security Commission. He is Chargé d’Affaires for the UINL to the United Nations Commission for International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). He also chairs the Task Force on Security and Authentication of the Commission on E-Business, IT and Telecoms of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, is a Director of the CyberNotary Association U.K., and also a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Science and Technology, Information Security Committee.

 

 

Jessica Reeve is a graduate of Edinburgh University, with an M.A.(Hons.) in Hispanic Studies. She qualified as a Scrivener Notary in 1981, and specialises in Spanish and Portuguese work. She is a member of the Court of Assistants of the Scriveners’ Company, and is currently the Renter Warden of the Company.

 

 

Jonathan Coutts became a partner of the firm on 1st October 2004. He has a B.A. in French from the University of Southampton, and an M.A. in Translating from the University of Salford. He has been a Member of the Institute of Linguists since 2000. He speaks fluent French and Polish, and is frequently recommended for notarial work by the Polish Consulate in London.

 

 Associate:

Agnes Corless was born in Austria, and later moved to London, where she qualified as a Scrivener Notary in 1988. She speaks fluent German (of course!) and Spanish. As well as her general notarial work, she also specialises in Spanish inheritance cases.
