Killing a print job
Have you ever mistakenly started printing a
document? Here’s how to stop it wasting paper.
Windows is really pretty good at handling printing
and printers, all things considered, and its tools can help you in a
sticky situation. Here’s how:
-
Click <start> <Settings>
<Printers>. That will bring up your Printers
folder.
-
Now double click on the printer you’ve sent
the print job to.
-
Select the file that’s either spooling or
printing, click on the “Document” entry in the menu, and
select <Cancel>.
No matter where in the process it is, the document
print will be aborted. Anything that’s already in the printer will
continue to complete, but nothing else.
It’s as easy as that.
