TOTW – Reverse mistakes

This week’s tip caters for those “senior moments” even the best of us have

It’s happened to us all – you move a file from whichever folder it’s in – and forget where you’ve just put it. You delete a file, moving it (effectively) to the Recycle Bin or you rename a file, and realise that you really shouldn’t have.

Oops! Click on "Undo" to reverse the whoopsieFret not! It’s all undo-able. All you need to do is right click on the desktop, or in whichever window you committed the faux pas, and up will pop a menu. Click on “Undo <mistake>” (where <mistake> is what you did wrong) or press <ctrl-Z> (hold down the CTRL key and tap “z”) and all will be as it was.

In an application, click on the <Edit> menu, and select “Undo” for the same effect.

It’s a simple as that!
