IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ
Palm have released information about an "Issue" in the hardware (DRAM) of the Palm 111c, Vx & 111xe.
IBM Workpad 3c 8MB units may also be affected by this issue. Please see below for how to test & fix any problem.
Palm have posted on their web site a simple test you can run and also a fix if your machine has the problem. You will need to enter the serial number of your Palm on their web site and this will tell you if your machine needs to be tested or not. The issue seems to be in the 8MB machines only. Not all are affected. The fix does work. 2MB & 4MB machines are NOT affected.

Palm have released a second "Test & Fix" that is an improved version (Ver 1.03). For those of you who have only run the first "Test & Fix" (Prior to 21st. July 2000) this version is better & addresses some more small minor bugs in the fix. Please run the test again & also apply the fix if you had to the first time around.
