M350

INTEGRATING SPHERE in REFLECTANCE MODE

M350N System for measuring the colours of NATO paints and fabrics

The M350N system comprises a special version of the M350 computer controlled double beam scanning spectrophotometer with an integrating sphere accessory installed. Instead of scanning from 190nm to 1100nm, the M350N scans from 350nm to 1200nm.

A white standard and a black standard enable the reflectance values of the sample to be accurately determined over the wavelength range. The PC software displays the reflectance spectrum together with upper and lower NATO specification limits.

Specification of M350N system with sphere installed:

  • Light source: Tungsten-Halogen
  • Wavelength range: 350 to 1200nm
  • Angular divergence of beam: < ± 5º
  • Beam area at sample: 10 x 10mm
  • Bandpass: 4nm
  • Wavelength accuracy: ± 0.5nm
  • Transmittance accuracy: 20%T ± 0.3, 10%T ± 0.2, 2%T ± 0.1
  • Wavelength calibration: Checked using Didymium filter at 807.1nm traceable to NPL
  • Reflectance calibration: Using white and black standards traceable to NIST
