I create contemporary images utilising centuries old traditional techniques. Sometimes working as a colourist, sometimes in monochrome, I am excited by this medium's ability to transform interior environments by colouring and filtering the transmitted light. My images are usually abstract, often abstracted from drawings, paintings and collages based on observation of natural forms and landscape. I work primarily with mouthblown glasses, painting, staining, acid etching and sandblasting to form site specific and free-hanging pieces. I design and make windows for public and private buildings, and my work is in numerous private collections. I also teach part time at Richmond Adult Education Community College and privately at Lead and Light, Camden. |
