Of crucial importance to Meg’s windows is the use of glass in rare and brilliant colours and graduated tones which is made to her specification by the glassblowers. She established her studio in Canterbury in 1978, moving it to Wales in 1995, where she now works solely on new commissions. Her work is characterized by adherence to Christian iconography and her dependence on sound drawing technique. She makes use, throughout, of studies from the life model. She is also a painter, working in the tradition of egg tempura on gesso with gilding, and one of her paintings was recently commissioned for a London church.
