The work I produce for churches is always based on a theme and is worked in a semi-abstract way, sometimes incorporating personal attributes and inscriptions. Occasionally I work in a more traditional manner. My work for other buildings can again be based on a particular theme although the tendency is to work more in an abstract way, using organic forms together with geometric architectural lines thus complementing each other in line and colour. The source for some design work comes from my long association with watercolour painting in the open air working direct from organic material and landscape.
