The maintenance and care of historic glass require special skills. The rising incidence of vandalism and ongoing environmental damage has resulted in an enormous increase in demand for these skills, especially in the care of our unparalleled wealth of 19th century glass. The BSMGP Accreditation Scheme for the Conservation, Restoration and Repair of Stained Glass has now been formally integrated into the multi-disciplinary Accreditation Scheme which has been established by the United Kingdom Institute for Conservation. (UKIC/PACR Scheme).
