THE LONELY LITTLE LEMMING
They've left me here all lonely;
I don't know what to do;
Me mam and dad have gone away
And all me bruvvers too.
Me friends have disappeared an' all,
And I'm the lonely one;
They've gone off to the seaside;
I bet they're having fun.
Only dozed off for a minute
But I woke up to find
I'm a lonely little lemming
'Cos they've left me behind.
They told me they were going;
They told me don't be late;
Only missed 'em by a minute;
Don't know why they couldn't wait;
They've gone off to the seaside;
Bet they're swimming in the sea;
Bet there's millions of 'em swimming out there;
Everyone but me.
Only dozed off for a minute
But I woke up to find
I'm a lonely little lemming
'Cos they've left me behind.
Bet they're riding on the donkeys;
Bet they're walking down the pier;
Bet they're jumping in the water;
But I'm just sitting here;
Bet they're splashing in the ocean;
Oh me throat is full of lump;
They can rush up to the cliff
And they can take a running jump.
Only dozed off for a minute
But I woke up to find
I'm a lonely little lemming
'Cos they've left me behind.
All five million of 'em vanished
An' I don't know the way.
There's only me got left behind;
It's not my lucky day.
I'm a lonely little lemming,
Crying at the moon;
I wonder when they're coming back;
I hope they're coming soon.

And now one of Mr Barker's serious ones:
WALTZ FOR NOBODY
When the band starts to play I will stay here in my chair
Take my hand and I'll say "Not today." for I don't care
That some sweet violin may begin; I tell them all
I won't dance; if I dance, there's a chance I might fall.
The one two three is not for me; I'll leave it be from hereon
in;
Why the tear falling at the soft calling of that old violin?
It's for no one I can recall, it's not for him; no, not at all;
I won't dance, oh no, I won't dance; oh no, there's a chance I might fall;
There's no name, not a trace of his face here in my mind
All the same, I won't dance; for romance comes close behind;
All those dreams made to break if you take that first chance
To be swept off your feet; I repeat: I won't dance.
It's not my way, I know the score; I'm quite ok here by the
door;
I won't dance, sorry, I won't dance; sorry, I don't dance any more.
You may be cute, you may be tall; I'm taking root here by the wall;
I won't dance, oh no, I won't dance; oh no, there's a chance I might fall.

CALON WAN
Nid wy’n gofyn bywyd moethus
Aur y byd na’i berlau mân;
' Mhroblem ydy, yn anffodus,
Os dw i'n onest, calon wan.
Calon wan; dw i'n llawn tabledi
Aspirin am byth, di-os;
Mwy ohonyn medrech gredu
Gyda'r dydd a gyda'r nos.
Ni ddymunwn olud bydol,
Caniateir dewis y bydd
Ramipril a Bisoprodol,
Cymerir bythol bob dydd.
Calon wan; dw i'n llawn tabledi
Aspirin am byth, di-os;
Mwy ohonyn medrech gredu
Gyda'r dydd a gyda'r nos.
Glas y bore fel aderyn
Esgyn poen ar draws y wawr;
Pam rhoir imi warfarin,
Peth sy'n lladd y llygod mawr?.
Calon wan; dw i'n llawn tabledi
Aspirin am byth, di-os;
Mwy ohonyn medrech gredu
Gyda'r dydd a gyda'r nos.
